Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 October 2026
1. About these Terms
1.1 These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are the agreement between you and FanPlan ("FanPlan", "we", "us", "our") for your use of the FanPlan mobile apps for iOS and Android, the website at www.fanplan.app, the FanPlan Groups portal, and any other product or feature that links to these Terms (together, the "Service").
1.2 Please read them carefully. By creating an account, tapping "accept", or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookies notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.3 If you use FanPlan on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it, and "you" includes that organisation.
1.4 We have written these Terms in plain language. Headings are for convenience and do not change the meaning of a clause.
1.5 Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law in the country where you live. If a clause cannot be applied to you under that law, the rest still applies.
2. Who we are
2.1 FanPlan is operated by FAN PLAN S.R.L., registered office Via Giuseppe Frua 11, 20146 Milano (MI), VAT number and tax code 14908040968, REA MI-2814813 (Milano Monza Brianza Lodi), PEC [email protected] (the "Operator").
2.2 Contact: [email protected], or Personal area then Contact us in the app. Please use the same routes for complaints, legal notices and rights requests.
2.3 The name FanPlan and the FanPlan logo are our trade marks. FanPlan is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any football club, league, federation or competition unless a page says so expressly.
3. Who can use FanPlan
3.1 You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of the holder of parental responsibility where the law of your country requires it for you to use an online service.
3.2 You must be able to form a binding contract and must not be barred from receiving the Service under any applicable law, including sanctions and export-control law.
3.3 If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to read these Terms with you, in particular the sections about location, public content and spending money with partners.
3.4 We may refuse, suspend or end access if we reasonably believe these conditions are not met.
4. Your account
4.1 You can create an account with an email address and password, or with Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. Some parts of the Service may be available without an account, but trips, check-ins, passport stamps and shared plans require one.
4.2 Give us accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for keeping your password and sign-in methods secure, and for all activity under your account until you tell us it was not you.
4.3 You may have only one personal account per person. You may not sell, share, rent or transfer your account.
4.4 Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require you to reset your password or verify your identity to protect you.
4.5 You can close your account at any time in Personal area then Delete account. Section 22 explains what happens.
5. What the Service offers
5.1 FanPlan is a football trip and matchday companion. Today the Service lets you:
5.2 Browse fixtures, results, clubs, stadiums, city guides and editorial content, including content contributed by other fans.
5.3 Plan a trip around a match, with itinerary items such as flights, hotels, places, tickets notes and free-text notes.
5.4 Invite friends to a shared trip and see who added what.
5.5 Check in near the stadium on matchday to collect a digital passport stamp, badges and experience points.
5.6 Receive optional matchday and check-in reminders as push notifications.
5.7 Follow outbound links to third-party sites and apps for tickets, travel and accommodation.
5.8 Use optional paid plans, where offered, which unlock additional features described in the app at the time of purchase.
5.9 Take part in organisation plans published through our Groups product.
5.10 Features differ by country, platform, language and plan, and may change as described in section 17. We may release some features as experiments or as previews.
6. Information is for planning, not a guarantee
6.1 We work hard to keep fixtures, kick-off times, club information, maps, weather and flight information accurate, but we get much of it from third parties and it can change at short notice. Always confirm times, venues, entry rules, ticket conditions, transport and flight details with the official source before you travel.
6.2 Match times and dates can be changed by competitions, broadcasters, police or clubs. Kick-off times may be provisional until confirmed.
6.3 Weather, transport times, walking distances and travel gaps shown in the itinerary are estimates.
6.4 Offline content may be out of date until your phone reconnects.
6.5 Local rules, stadium rules and the law at your destination apply to you. Ticket entry, bag policies, alcohol rules and behaviour rules are set by the club, venue and authorities, not by FanPlan.
6.6 We do not provide travel, legal, medical, financial or safety advice. Our guides and tips are general information and reflect opinions.
7. Your licence to use FanPlan
7.1 Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, worldwide licence to install and use the apps on devices you own or control, and to use the website and Service, for your own non-commercial use as a football fan.
7.2 All rights not expressly granted are reserved. The software, design, text, graphics, structure, databases, and our compilation of content are protected by copyright, database rights and other laws and belong to us or our licensors.
7.3 You may not, and may not allow anyone else to: copy, modify or create derivative works of the Service; reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source code except to the extent mandatory law allows; remove notices; bypass technical protections; use the Service to build a competing product; or sell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service or its content.
7.4 Open-source components in the apps are licensed under their own terms, which prevail for those components.
8. Acceptable use
8.1 You agree to use the Service lawfully, honestly and respectfully. You must not:
8.2 Break any law, infringe anyone's rights, or encourage others to do so.
8.3 Post or send content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, misleading, or that promotes hooliganism, disorder or violence at or around matches.
8.4 Impersonate a person, club, player or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation.
8.5 Upload content you do not have the right to use, including photographs, text or club marks owned by others.
8.6 Spam, advertise, solicit, or use the Service to promote commercial products without our written agreement. Posting unsolicited ticket resale offers is not allowed.
8.7 Scrape, harvest, mirror or bulk-download fixtures, content, user data or the app's interface, or use bots, crawlers or automated tools, except as we expressly permit.
8.8 Interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service, probe or test its security, or try to access accounts, servers or data that are not yours.
8.9 Use the Service to collect or publish other people's personal data without a lawful basis, for example posting someone's travel plans or location without their agreement.
8.10 Circumvent a suspension, a rate limit, geofence or any other limit we put in place.
8.11 If you break these rules we may remove content, restrict features, suspend or close your account, and report conduct to the authorities where required.
9. Check-in, location and passport
9.1 The check-in feature lets you confirm attendance at a match from inside the app and near the stadium. It reads your device's approximate location only when you press Check in and you have granted permission. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with that data.
9.2 You must check in honestly. Faking your location, using spoofing tools, using another person's device, or checking in without attending is prohibited. We may reverse stamps, badges or experience points obtained that way and may suspend the account.
9.3 Check-in depends on your device, GPS accuracy, network, battery and the stadium's geofence. We do not guarantee that every valid attendance will be recorded, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the feature on matchday. Do not check in while driving or in any way that puts you or others at risk.
9.4 Stamps, badges, levels and experience points are digital recognition inside the Service. They have no cash value, are not property, cannot be sold or transferred, and may be adjusted, reset or removed if we correct an error or detect misuse.
9.5 If you believe a legitimate check-in was rejected, contact us with the match and time, and we will review it.
10. Trips, sharing and friends
10.1 You own the content of your trips, but a trip you share becomes visible to the people you invite. Before you invite someone, make sure you are happy for them to see the trip title, dates, matches, itinerary items, the names and avatars of the other travellers, and who added which item.
10.2 The owner of a trip can invite and remove travellers and delete the trip. A traveller can add items, edit items they added, and leave the trip. Deleting a shared trip removes it for everyone.
10.3 If you add items to a trip owned by someone else, you accept that they stay on that trip, and that the other travellers can see them and your name next to them, until the owner removes them or you ask us to anonymise the label.
10.4 Do not put into a shared trip anything you want to keep private, such as passport numbers, payment details, or other people's sensitive data.
10.5 Invitations are sent on your instruction. You are responsible for having the right to give us the email addresses you invite, and you must not use invitations to send spam.
10.6 Friend connections are mutual. You can remove a friend at any time.
11. Content you submit
11.1 "User Content" means any text, photo, tip, recommendation, note, name or other material you submit to the Service.
11.2 You keep ownership of your User Content. You confirm that you own it or have all rights needed to submit it, and that it does not break the law or these Terms.
11.3 You give FanPlan a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example resize or translate), display and distribute your User Content within the Service, and to show it to people you invite or, if you make it public, to other users, for the purpose of running, improving and promoting the Service. For public golden tips, the licence also allows us to feature them in our guides and in our marketing of FanPlan, credited with the name you chose, unless you ask us not to. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups for a limited time, copies that other users made while the content was public, and content we need to keep to meet legal duties.
11.4 Golden tips and other public contributions. By submitting a tip you confirm that it reflects your genuine experience, that you have no undisclosed commercial link with the business you recommend, and that it is not paid promotion. We may review, edit for length, translate, reject, hide or remove any tip at any time. Automated checks may hold a tip for review.
11.5 Reporting. If you believe content on the Service is illegal or breaks these Terms, tell us at [email protected]. We will review notices and act where appropriate, and we will tell the person affected and give them a chance to respond where required by law.
11.6 We are not responsible for User Content created by others, and the views in it are not ours.
11.7 Feedback you give us about the Service may be used by us without payment or obligation.
12. Third-party bookings, tickets and partners
12.1 FanPlan is not a travel agent, tour operator, airline, hotel, ticket seller or transfer provider, and it is not the merchant of record for any booking. We provide planning tools and links.
12.2 Home, Club Hub and Trip screens may show outbound links to official clubs, Booking.com, Skyscanner, Ticketmaster, Viagogo, Sports Events 365 (ticket.sportsevents365.com), transfer providers, map services and similar third parties. We may earn an affiliate commission if you make a purchase after following a link. This does not increase the price you pay.
12.3 Any booking, ticket, hotel, flight, transfer or other purchase you complete on a partner's site or app is a contract between you and that provider. Their terms, prices, cancellation and refund rules, identity checks and customer support apply, and FanPlan is not a party to it. We do not fulfil, change or refund partner bookings.
12.4 We do not control partner inventory, prices or availability, and we do not guarantee that a price shown elsewhere, or a ticket listed on a partner site, will be available, valid or genuine. Check the conditions of sale before you pay.
12.5 Tickets: only buy from official sellers or reputable resale platforms, check the seller's guarantee, and remember that some competitions and clubs limit or prohibit resale. Sports Events 365 tickets, where shown, are sold by Sports Events 365 or its suppliers. Confirmed tickets are generally non-refundable unless an insurance add-on or the seller's terms say otherwise. We do not copy Booking.com's, Skyscanner's, Ticketmaster's, Viagogo's or Sports Events 365's terms into these pages, so read the seller's terms before you pay.
12.6 Flights and weather. Flight status and weather are shown as a courtesy and may be delayed or wrong. Confirm with the airline, airport or official forecast.
12.7 Third-party links and services are provided for convenience. We do not endorse them and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or performance.
13. Paid plans and payments
13.1 Some features may require a paid plan, such as Fan Plus or Fan Pro or another name we use. The price, billing period, trial and features are shown before you buy.
13.2 Purchases through Apple or Google. If you subscribe in the iOS or Android app, you pay Apple or Google under their terms. They bill you, renew the subscription automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (or the period their terms state), and handle refunds under their policies. You manage and cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your FanPlan account does not cancel a store subscription.
13.3 Purchases on the web. Where we offer a web checkout, our payment provider Stripe processes the payment. Prices include any taxes we are required to collect where stated. You can cancel in your account settings or by writing to us, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
13.4 Free trials and introductory prices convert to the standard price at the end unless you cancel before the trial ends.
13.5 Price changes. We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
13.6 Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days from a distance contract. For digital content or services that start immediately at your request, you acknowledge that you may lose the right of withdrawal once performance has begun with your prior express consent and acknowledgement. For store purchases, the store's refund rules also apply.
13.7 Refunds, where due, follow the law and the store's or payment provider's rules. Contact the store for store purchases, or us for web purchases.
13.8 We may change which features belong to which plan, but we will not remove a feature you have already paid for during the paid period unless the law or a third party's rights require it, and we will then compensate you proportionally where required.
13.9 Group or organisation billing, if introduced, is a separate business contract and is not part of a fan subscription unless we say so in writing.
14. Groups and organisation plans
14.1 Groups allows an organisation (for example a supporters' association or travel organiser) to publish a base plan that invited fans open in the consumer app.
14.2 The organisation, not FanPlan, is responsible for the content of its plan, for the commercial terms of any trip it sells or runs, and for having the right to invite the fans it invites. Any contract for travel, tickets or accommodation offered by an organisation is between you and that organisation or its suppliers.
14.3 When you accept a Group invitation, you receive a copy of the base plan in your account. Your own additions are yours. The organisation can update its base plan, and updates may appear in your copy. You can leave the Group or decline at any time.
14.4 Managers must keep their sign-in secure, use the portal only for lawful purposes and respect the privacy rights of the fans they invite.
15. Notifications and communications
15.1 With your permission, we send push notifications such as match countdowns and check-in reminders. You can switch them off in your phone settings.
15.2 We send transactional emails needed to run your account (for example confirmation, password reset, invitations and notices about these Terms). You cannot opt out of essential service messages while you have an account.
15.3 We will send marketing email only if you have agreed or the law otherwise allows, and every marketing email will include an opt-out.
16. Club marks, content and intellectual property of others
16.1 Club names, crests, competition names, player names, stadium names and imagery belong to their owners and are used for identification. FanPlan may show them under licence, from content we upload, or in a "kit art" mode that uses stylised shirts rather than official crests. Display of a mark does not mean the owner endorses FanPlan.
16.2 Fixture and club data may be provided by third parties such as SportMonks, and map and place data by Google. They remain subject to their owners' terms.
16.3 If you believe something on FanPlan infringes your copyright or other rights, send a notice to [email protected] with your contact details, a description of the work, the location of the material and a statement that you act in good faith. We will review it promptly and may remove the material.
17. Availability, updates and changes to the Service
17.1 We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Planned maintenance, outages of our providers, network problems or matchday traffic peaks can affect it.
17.2 We may update, add, change or remove features, content or integrations, and release app updates. Some updates may be required to keep using the Service, for example for security or legal reasons.
17.3 Where the law gives you rights to updates for digital content and services, those rights are not affected.
17.4 We may stop offering the Service, or part of it, with reasonable notice. If we end a paid plan before the paid period ends, we will refund the unused portion where required by law.
18. Disclaimers
18.1 To the extent permitted by mandatory law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will meet all your requirements, be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that information, content, fixtures, prices, ratings, weather, flights or availability shown are accurate, complete or current.
18.2 We make no warranty about the content, quality or reliability of any third party's goods or services, or of User Content.
18.3 These disclaimers do not exclude or limit any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you, including consumer guarantees of conformity for digital content and services under EU and Italian law.
19. Limitation of liability
19.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, or any mandatory right you have as a consumer.
19.2 Subject to section 19.1 and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for: any booking, ticket, flight, hotel, transfer or other service you purchase from a third party; missed matches, missed flights or denied entry to a stadium; indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss; loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or goodwill; loss or corruption of data caused by something outside our reasonable control; or events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of mobile networks, GPS, app stores, cloud providers, strikes, weather, government action or acts of God.
19.3 Subject to section 19.1 and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in that period or one hundred euros (EUR 100). This limit does not apply to consumers where the law forbids it.
19.4 Consumers keep every mandatory right granted by the law of their country of habitual residence.
20. Your responsibility to us
20.1 You are responsible for your User Content and conduct on the Service. If you breach these Terms or the law, and as a result a third party brings a claim against us or we suffer loss, you agree to reimburse the reasonable loss that results from your breach, to the extent the law allows. This clause does not apply to consumers where the law forbids it.
20.2 We will tell you if we become aware of such a claim and give you reasonable chance to respond.
21. Suspension and termination by us
21.1 We may suspend or end your access, remove content or restrict features if: you materially or repeatedly break these Terms; we are required to by law or by an authority; we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or a security risk; your account has been inactive for a long period, after notice; or we stop offering the Service.
21.2 Where practical we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond, unless the law, safety or an authority's order prevents us.
21.3 If we end your account without a breach on your part, we will refund any prepaid fee for the period remaining where the law requires.
21.4 Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, liability limits, governing law) will survive.
22. Ending your account yourself
22.1 You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Personal area then Delete account.
22.2 On deletion, the data described in our Privacy Policy (section 14) is removed or anonymised, subject to limited legal retention. Trips you own are deleted for everyone on them. Content you published may remain for a short time in caches or backups.
22.3 Store subscriptions are not cancelled automatically: cancel them in the store.
23. Changes to these Terms
23.1 We may update these Terms for good reasons, such as a new feature, a legal change, or to fix an error.
23.2 We will give you reasonable notice of material changes in the app or by email. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and delete your account before the change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the new Terms to the extent the law allows. For paid plans, changes to the price or the main terms apply at the next renewal and you can cancel first.
23.3 The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
24. Apple App Store terms
24.1 If you downloaded the iOS app from Apple's App Store, these Terms are between you and FanPlan only, and not Apple. FanPlan, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app, its content, maintenance and support, and for any claims about it.
24.2 The licence we grant you is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
24.3 Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to a warranty, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of a paid app where applicable; to the maximum extent allowed by law Apple has no other warranty obligation.
24.4 FanPlan, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims about the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal requirements, consumer protection and intellectual property claims.
24.5 You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
24.6 Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and on your acceptance Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
24.7 You must comply with applicable third-party terms, such as your wireless data service agreement, when using the app.
25. Google Play terms
25.1 If you downloaded the Android app from Google Play, you also agree to Google Play's Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app, its support or claims about it.
25.2 Subscriptions and refunds made through Google Play follow Google Play's policies in addition to section 13.
26. Governing law, disputes and complaints
26.1 These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, with these exceptions: if you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you habitually live, and nothing here removes them (Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation).
26.2 Complaints. Please contact [email protected] first and give us a chance to put things right. We aim to reply within 14 days and to resolve complaints within one month.
26.3 Courts. If you are a consumer, you can bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and we can bring proceedings against you only there. If you are not a consumer, the courts of the Operator's registered seat have exclusive jurisdiction, to the extent the law allows.
26.4 Online dispute resolution. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We will say in this section whether we participate in any alternative dispute resolution scheme once the Operator is registered. You may always go to court.
27. General
27.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Cookies notice, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service and replace earlier understandings about it.
27.2 Severability. If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it is limited or removed to the minimum extent needed, and the rest remains in effect.
27.3 No waiver. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we do not give it up.
27.4 Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours to a successor of the business, or to an affiliate, if your rights are not reduced, and we will tell you.
27.5 Third parties. Except for Apple under section 24, no one other than you and us has rights to enforce these Terms.
27.6 Force majeure. Neither of us is liable for a failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, except for payment obligations.
27.7 Language. These Terms are written in English. We may provide translations for convenience; if they differ, the English version prevails unless the law of your country says otherwise.
27.8 Notices. We may give you notice by email to your account address, in the app, or on the website. You can write to us at [email protected].
27.9 Export and sanctions. You must follow all applicable export-control and sanctions laws.
